Comedy Central scoops Rumsfeld resignation?

A Comedy Central blog known as the Comedy Central Insider posted an unconfirmed rumour last night at 12:15 PM Eastern Time that Rumsfeld would be out as of today:
The buzz I'm hearing from a friend, and a totally unconfirmed White House source (remember Comedy Central doesn't have journalistic standards), is that Rumsfeld will be out of the administration tomorrow.

This is a shocker even to the totally unnamed source in the White House. Already, we are seeing reports of a White House Press conference scheduled for tomorrow at 1 p.m. Could this be it?
Woah. Leave it to Comedy Central to scoop this. I wonder if GW will send this blogger to jail if he doesn't reveal his source?

What happens when Alka Seltzer and water mix in a zero gravity environment? [Video]

Have you ever wondered what would happen when an Alka Seltzer and water are mixed in a zero gravity environment? Me neither. But I bet that you're wondering now.

Well, wonder no more! As Mark Frauenfelder of Boing Boing says: "This experiment alone was worth the entire cost of the space program."

I'd have to agree with his assessment.

The link has been Boing Boing'ed, but you can download the file from here if you'd like.

The Red Balloon [Video]

Do you remember the movie The Red Balloon (1956)? I remember watching this back when I was in elementary school. The short film had a hypnotic, captivating and calming effect on me back then. It just works on so many levels.

It's now up on YouTube (in four parts) for your viewing pleasure.

Excuse me while I have a fit of nostalgia.

Here's another gift I wouldn't want to unwrap. Unfortunately, if you want some of your own, you'll have to print it yourself.
